It changes with the tide. Music is a function of mood for me.. sometimes I want to hear something soothing, like Bob Marley's Don't Worry Bout a Thing, sometimes kind of funky and bluesy, like Huey "Piano" Smith's Don't You Just Know It, or something hard and jamming like NWO by Ministry, or atonal and discordant like any kind of punk rock, or something rythmic and innovative like I Zimbra by the Talking Heads. So, depends on the time of day and the mood I'm in, really. To give you an idea of my current mood, I was listening to a duo of Tom Jones and the Art of Noise singing KISS by Prince on the way home tonight. It was splendid, but I likely won't hear a repeat of it for a while.
