After contemplating this for several days, I've come to the conclusion that apart from the movies I have held close since childhood (The Never-ending Story, The Little Prince, etc.) my cinematic viewing habits probably coincide with that of any other 23 yr old girl growing up in "middle America".
I did realize however, in the middle of flipping through The Bachelor & RH of OC, how very lame and embarrassing my television viewing habits are. -
We were besties for years- YEARS! I'd like to think that after constantly being exposed to my (lovingly) demeaning behavior she gradually became conditioned to putting me first. Things took a turn for the interesting when Archie came into the frame, but after an extended period of her amateur passive/aggressive (and not to mention futile) attempts to steal him, he finally decided to stop slummin' it with that brown-bagger. HE PUT A RING ON IT! Sure, it took about 3 weeks to get used to the glare this rock gives off- but like L'Oréal, I'm worth it... and now she knows it too.
After her bout with depression, the eating disorders, and the prescription drug addiction we began to speak again, but things just haven't been the same...
Do I hate her? No. But, I'm pretty sure she hates herself. -
