Contemplating Karen -- This is a huge question! Co-habitation is legitimate, for sure. It is a great way to get to know your partner and, as you mentioned- an economical and a smart decision.
How long have the two of you been dating?
I ask because the longer you've been dating, the more it makes sense. I think no matter, you will offend with moving in but I agree with your statements. If you have a long relationship with this guy and you both trust each other, I think moving in is a normal "next step". Instead of worrying about his parents, worry first about the two of you in the same apartment (etc).
If this makes sense to you, and it makes sense to him - and both of you are in this relationship for the long term - go for it. His parents will accept it eventually. It may take time.
In the meantime, try not to mention it too much in front of them. Ha ha. This will probably make things more awkward. -
Hi! What a great question. Sorry you have been diagnosed with an STD. Kudos to you for reaching out.
There are two spots right off the bat for STD help in Mount Pleasant -- the Isabella County Health Department and (CMU) University Health Services.
The Isabella County health department (Central Michigan District Health Department): can be contacted at 989-773-5921. It is state-run - thus, will not turn you down from anything because of cost. The clinic may have support group suggestions, too.
University Health Services can be contacted at 989-774-6599. The CMU clinic may also have suggestions.
Most importantly, I know I've said it already but kudos to you for reaching out! I am impressed. Thank you for writing in.
CMU's Volunteer Services promotes the Safer Sex Patrol - this may or may not be a great place for you, as well. I personally LOVE the Safer Sex Patrol - I think it is great they promote condom usage and safe ways to have sex. -
Nope! I do not. I do have a Twitter and a Facebook. Ha ha. I feel those are both legitimate ways to ask me questions if you know me.

As CM Life Vibe will not be running for the next two weeks, I will be answering questions submitted on Formspring next week (and the week after.) I may still use questions in the column, but I want to get back to people as well. Thank you for all of your submissions!

Yes! You can ask anything, within reason. I do not have math skills, for example.. so advice on math-related topics will likely not be helpful (or any good).
