And yes. I agree with you that time is not linear - but once again, this isn't something that can be proven very easily and is very much debatable. -
It's pretty normal. I think of some awful things when I go to wash my face at night in the bathroom.

Well his earlier stuff is REALLY whiny. Then again, he was like 15-17 years old. So I don't blame him. His later stuff is less whiny and even musically, it sounds more alternative-country than anything.
I like Elliott Smith, but not as much as some people do. I don't think he's copying Elliott Smith. Influenced for sure. If he's copying anyone it's Leonard Cohen, who's a better songwriter than both Conor and Elliott Smith combined (especially in terms of lyrics - seriously just listen to songs like 'Famous Blue Raincoat' or 'The Partisan' - just wow). -
Oh god. This is going to take forever to answer. So instead I'm going to give you a really really REALLY condensed answer:
First dream: Reality. No one's dream. They're going to drug that guy (Fisher - had to check imdb.com to remember his name) to get him to dream.
Second: In the van. Yusuf's dream. Fisher is kidnapped at this point and they try to implant some idea into his head (I forget what exactly - I only saw the film once. Something to do with his father wanting him to break up the company).
Third: Hotel room. Arthur's dream. They trick Fisher into believing someone is betraying him (name escapes me once again).
Fourth: Outside - snowstorm/building. Eames is dreaming if I remember correctly. Fisher has to be taken to the room so he can 'learn' the idea.
Fifth: Limbo(?). No one's dream since it's limbo. Fisher and Saito need to be brought back.
Who was in there - not going into that. I CAN'T REMEMBER EVERYONE. Fuck. I can't believe I even bothered to answer this. I hate you. -
I don't use it. Why do you loathe it? Everyone seems to love it.
