You mentioned in one of your recent posts that you gained some weight while recovering from your stress fracture since you couldn't run. I certainly can't see it on you butIjust wanted to let you know that you look great in recent photos - you're glowing!
I actually gained a lot and I will most likely be losing it if I want to run in college (which I do want to do so...). I'm glad you think I look good and I will say it has made me realize that gaining weight wont make me look bad and having a butt has been nice haha!

How long does it take you to eat meals and snacks?
Not very long. I'm a fast eater, haha

Did you ever visit Germany? And when not, are you planning to?
I actually visited Germany a few times when I lived in England (We picked up our BMI straight from a factory there too!). I have no idea when I'll be able to travel overseas again though!

What is your favorite part of the day? Why? What is the least favorite part of your day? why?
I think my favorite part of the day is at night when I can officially relax, morning is also nice because I don't really stress out in the morning.
I don't really have a least favorite part of the day. I'll just say anytime I'm doing homework that doesn't interest me is my least favorite part. -
i miss your blogging! do you plan to do more posts anytime soon?
Ah yes I hope to. I miss blogging too! I've just had a lot of things in my life that have made me super stressed and moody. Luckily I just got rid of one major stressor, and I'm working on the others. It makes me so happy to know that someone misses my posts, so thank you!

How did you fully commit yourself to recovery?
Hm this sounds like something I could definitely write a blog post on. It's hard to pinpoint it because it wasn't exactly conscious. I think my injuries were the main thing that pushed me to get better because that was holding me back from my real goals. Being healthy and running pain free > being skinny!

"Not ONE of my doctors has said that I needed to gain to a 20 BMI, not at home, not at Center for Change, not at ERC."- why are you acting like you care or even pay any attention to what drs say because if you did you would have a treatment team

How tall are you? Have you ever wished to be a different height?
I'm 5'8. I wish I was 6'0+ so I could be on ANTM. I'm not joking.

have you always loved running? i do it because i'm trying to lose weight but i absolutely hate it! do you have any tips?
Hmm. I haven't always loved it but I wouldn't say I ever hated it. If you're trying to lose weight and hate running, don't do it. You're going to be better off finding some kind of exercise you enjoy - weight lifting, zumba, swimming, spinning, yoga - than trying to force yourself to run because it burns a lot of calories.
That being said, I think you can grow to like running if you give it a chance. It's important to accept that it's not going to be easy at first and you're going to be sore. But I promise the more you work at it, the better you will get, and the more enjoyable it will be. Run to good music or run with a friend. Sign up and train for a race - it's a commitment to working out, and the atmosphere and adrenaline will hook you! -
What did you have for dinner last night?
BAY SHRIMP. Oh my gosh I was craving it so much. It was perfect.

Do you believe in aliens?
honestly? I don't doubt they could exist.

Do you have a running mantra or saying that repeat during races and tough workouts? What is your greatest motivation to run?
Oh so many running mantras. One of my favorites is "You can do anything for 20 minutes". Also positive affirmations really help. You might feel silly, but no one is inside your head. I just tell myself "I am strong, I am a hardworker, I am a runner, I am amazing" and it gives me a lot of confidence. I also think about the fact that people have been in much worse pain for longer than I am, so if I really want this I can push harder!
My greatest motivation to run... gosh I guess it's to keep getting better. The idea of running faster times thrills me. The idea of winning gets me so excited. I just love competing! A lot of girls love to run, but dread racing. I honestly love racing. Sitting out has been so hard. There is nothing like the thrill of the race! -
What's the last song that got stuck in your head?
Last one I can remember was Superbass
-
how do you feel about the whole move n munchies thing?
It upsets me for sure! I think only another blogger could relate to this - you don't see the whole picture. The blog is a snapshot of our lives. I've been accused of disordered eating or running just to burn calories, and it really hurts because I've come so far in getting better and I'm really passionate about running, but it seems like a lot of people just look at the negative. I think Carrie was an inspiration to a lot of people, but I guess the more popular you are, the more haters you'll get. I really hope I get to meet her someday when she's over here in college!
-
have you ever won a cross country race yourself?
Yep. My area has a lot of very talented runners though so it's not too common. I don't really care too much about winning anyway - it's about racing my best and feeling like I put out everything I could to improve my own times!

Eating vegan can be really expensive; do you set a budget for yourself?
I have a general budget for food yes, but I don't find a vegan diet generally much more expensive! I try not to buy many expensive branded vegan stuff, which IS expensive, and I buy cheap everything else where possible:)
