here is the story of freckles and erin it is very long and very adorable.

when i first started riding i was 11ish i think. i rode at a place that did fox hunting. i rode a horse called cash. he was an old buckskin QH, i hated riding, i rode for an hour and cried all of 50 mitues of it. i was on a lead line and he kept cantering. i swore up and down i would never ride again. ever.
the lady who ran the barn called and told me to come back, she said they would put me on a different horse and that i should give it one more try. not sure why i said i would come back but i did. i was put on a horse called satin, he was a big bay TB he was one of those okay lets just get this over with kinda horses.
i rode him for a while and then i was moved up to an appy mare called charm. i fucking hated her at first but now looking back she gave me the foundation i needed, she pushed me into being a better rider, and i thank her for that.
then i was put back on cash. i fucking loved him! like so much! rode him for a while then left that barn and didnt ride for the winter.
then i went to a place called tripple r farm, it was a sheep farm with ponies (:

then when she tried to jump the fence one night she fell and got her leg stuck in the fencing wire, she had a cut clean to the bone on her leg. she was layed up for a while, then ms reilly (that barn owner) knew how much i wanted a horse, so she found me one. freckles. she called the people and had them bring her up from Kentucky, i will never forget the first time i saw her.
we had came out to see hancock, and how the barn was, you walked across the barn yard and it was an open barn like there was 2 stalls on one side and two on the other and the middle was all open where the other field horses could come in and out. then the front stalls are open in the front and you could see threw to the other stall. hancock was in the front stall and when i went over to the barn i saw her, freckles, she was alot darker then she is now, but just as pretty. she was facing away from me, but then she looked over and saw me and whinnied and turned around and started tossing her head. mema (my grandma) came over and asked if i liked her, i could even talk. ms reilly said $200 and she's yours. i started crying right then and there. i opened the gate and walked threw to the stall. she came over to the door when i opened it she looked at me like "you must me my new girl" then i hugged her (: i was so scared she wasnt going to like me. but she loved me (:

i will never forget that. not ever.
