It's not the skydiving that worries me - it's the falling to earth very fast relying on some bits of string and the possibility of excruciating pain and death which worry me. Get that sorted out and I'm good to go.

These were the days......think at one point Fruit Salads were 1/2p and I remember getting 4 gobstoppers for 1p, 'cause I bought 5p worth and promptly fell asleep with gobstoppers in my mouth...still in my mouth when I woke up.....yargggg! Never did that again! x

Personally I would be delighted,but I don't think that's the norm. I think younger ears are more generally confused and less tolerant of style changes from an artist so listener demographic comes in to play. With your music I've loved everything from Strawberry Velvet to Got Blood? which is quite a leap so it would take a lot to completely throw me. I also think it's easier to take along a following through style changes - Ginger has managed to successfully keep a core following back from The Wildhearts to now through huge style swings (but often his style changes between tracks on the same album or even within a single track anyway, so perhaps these style swings are actually the "expected" for him!). Noticed on Sensory Overdrive that quite a few younger fans didn't take to Gone Baby Gone - I think that's because that track pushed the boundaries of the expected style for a lot of the younger fans. For me however, some of the tracks which don't quite fit the overall feel of an album end up being my favourites. x
