It would be better for the couple to make it clear between them what the terms are for taking a break. If both are ok with sleeping around it's ok. else not.

Non serious would be pirates, since if you follow the law of Conservation of Ninjutsu, ninjas as an army will be easier to kill than a paraplegic gerbil in a highway.
Serious would be ninjas though, because ninjas are trained to be skillful assassins and spies, while pirates are nothing more than people that plunders villages, unprotected ships and most of the time their own hygiene is the cause of their own death. -
