Have you accepted Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior?

The term "into your heart" is often misleading and causes a lot of people to hesitate because of the misunderstanding of this statement.

My answer to your question is this: I have recognized that I am a sinner separated from God by my willful rebellion against Him. Nothing I do could ever make my relationship right with Him because even my best "deeds" are done laced with sinful pride and boasting. My case is hopeless to ever be considered perfect in the sight of God. The Bible says that God knew this and through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, I am made into a new creation. My rebellion against God has been forgiven. I have turned from those ways and I now follow after Jesus Christ and trust in Him alone for my salvation.

So yes I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a Christian.

The idea of Jesus coming "into my heart" comes from the idea of the Holy Spirit coming along side of us and leading us. He is described as dwelling within us and our bodies being the temple.

    Great question.
