Well gosh, I'd have to say this one!

YES
SNOW IS THE BEST THING EVER
(unless one does not have a place to go and regain their lost warmth from frolicking around in the cold)
So many different sorts of snow~ small flakes clumpy flakes sticky snow flaky snow icy snow powdery snow~!
But it rarely snows here, maybe once or twice a year. :[ -
Yeeeeah obviously if I'm going to die so does the rest of the universe. I suppose that means it's time to greatly accelerate the universal heat death--new time: One month!
Eternal Winter, here we come!
Sorry universe, nothing personal; I just don't want you to have to live without me! -
I often lose books by recommending them and loaning them to friends, and then forgetting about them ; -;
-
Permadeath would be fine if I had more of a sense of living due to skill versus living due to insane luck?
-
noooo someone is telling you liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiies
liiiiiiiiiiiiies -
*flail* Oh gosh I think you may have the wrong person but thank you!
-
We have a climactic showdown with lots of pretty lights and then after the shoot is over we go get coffee and icecream~
-
Why, yes, if you'll just direct your attention to this flash bang grenade for a second~
-
For a while I would allow it to believe it had gone undetected. But this would be a trap to catch it "red-handed", so to speak!
-
Alas, things would begin well, but soon enough geeks from different spheres of geekery would begin to quibble. First it would be over terminology, then it would be over optimization. After this had been going on for quite some time it would devolve into the equivalent of an internet flame-war, but with nukes.

Uhhhhhhhhhhh sometimes I check my email once a month...?

I began Lore. with exactly zero stories planned and absolutely no idea of what sort of world the story-telling took place in.
In the first batch of suggestions I got a character or two to focus on (The man and the ravens), something to steer the story towards (SHADOWS), an idea of what sort of stories the grand-dad was telling this little silhouette girl (oh Loather, you so silly~), and some ideas I could draw upon in the future.
The shadows thing sounded interesting, so I decided they'd been around the world for a good while, meaning the story would be fairly old, so no to low tech. The line that started the story I originally half-planned to be somewhat literal, giving myself a connection to play off, but part-way through the telling I decided to reverse it instead of playing it straight. Ravens and ye olden times, in my mind, led to battles and their aftermaths, and so that's where the first tale began.
From the second batch, we got the path towards becoming a farmer and (eventually), the fateful trip to market, as well as the first push for the man's suicide. The fawn I will maintain was part of some master plot but really I wanted to draw a baby deer, so it happened.
And so things kept happening like that and eventually we wind up with sentient and magical items and monsters from the edge of the "silent land" , at least one of which is featured in the second story.
tl;dr--Mostly made up on the fly, with some frameworks popping up as mini-possible-destinations -
Strategy 1) Pretend to give up and forget about it. Sneak back and take it while you are away.
Strategy 2) Stage an emergency that only that thing can cure (or possibly cowbell)
Strat. 3) Use the powers of creepy/cute to charm/frighten the desired item from you
Str. 4) Violence.
S. 5) More Violence.
S. 6) See Strategy 5. -
