When I was a teenager, I had a summer job at a print shop. After about a month, during which I was made miserable by one of the owners being an emotionally disturbed screwjob and the other one being an alpha bitch who didn't like me wearing religious attire, said alpha bitch's sister-in-law (whom I knew via church) called me on a Saturday and fired me over the phone. Part of the reason was that I'd had my first public low-blood-sugar attack at work that week (I hadn't yet learned to treat my hypoglycemia), so I could theoretically have sued her ass or used it as a basis for a disability claim, but I was too devastated to really do anything about it. Luckily, about a year later, I landed my first *real* job and was able to move out on my own, so it's a blessing that I got out of that horrid place when I did. Not that my jobs since have been paradise, but at least I've never been physically threatened at them.

I used to know a girl who always needed a ride or some money or some kind of charity, and for about a year I willingly helped her any way I could. Unfortunately, things turned sour and she went from needing my help to taking advantage of me, so my attitude of charity got all used up.
