She's a performer who can fill her songs with hooks and enough interesting nonsense to make them catchy.
I find it odd when people imply that bizarre costumes, random nudity and hard to forget choruses means we should regard her as if she had hidden depth.
She very well may! But these are indicators of pop and that's ok, but let's not confuse costume party's and teenage emotions with Lord Byron.
When I'm feeling cranky I'll also complain that a hit song with almost no instrumental musicianship or emotional depth that features a chorus of "sex money" is the death of music. But I know that's ahistorical.
It's really all Peter Framptons fault.
