It really depends on the mood I'm in when I make the character. When I started with WoW, I made a Shaman because I loved the class in Warcraft 3. So sometimes I'll choose a melee oriented class, sometimes I'll be a caster... rarely though do I choose a healer.

A rather unfortunate story there... my family fell on some hard financial times towards the end of my high school years. It leads into another unknown about me: I lived on airport for about 8 years of my life. So I'll give you a brief synopsis of that. In 1994, the town we lived near (I grew up on a farm) wanted to build a small municipal airport. My dad owned the largest plot of land that was close to the town, so the township approached my parents to build it on there. The deal went through, but the way that it was agreed to was that we sold ALL of our land, including the house. Rather than severe off what the town wanted and us keep what would've remained. So now the township owned the land and our house.
So the town built the airport as planned and my dad was the manager of it. So he was in charge of making sure the runway was clean, building was clean, grass was mowed, etc etc. I helped out a lot on top of helping out on the farm(which I do miss fyi).
Around 2001 our township amalgamated with another township. For some reason the airport was put under the sports & rec department, so my dad had some asshole boss that was basically out for him. In early 2002 my dad was fired from his position as the airport manager. On top of the enormous cost of farming and leasing the land we had previously owned my parents had no choice to declare bankruptcy. Our high-value assets - mostly farm equipment and my van were auctioned off. -
When I was 12/13 years old I won a van in a video game competition!
In early September 1997, there was a video game competition being held at a local grocery store. I had (to my knowledge) the 1st or 2nd highest score at the store. The game was Star Fox 64. I got a little consolation prize and that was the end of that, or so I thought! December 4, the day after my Birthday I got home and my mom told me to sit down and she told me the good news! Apparently I was put into a draw nationwide and I was selected for the grand prize, a 1998 Dodge Caravan! It was also slightly modified that it had an N64 and little TV in it (the TV was pure shit tbh but omg it made road/family trips so much more fun!) and I actually got a bunch of N64 games with it some of which I would've never played otherwise, like Mischief Makers and Goldeneye. :) -
I was always really into the Troll Shadow Hunter in Warcraft 3, so probably a class like that. It'd basically be a Hunter minus pets, but with totems and actual spells.
So some abilities:
Auto-shot (dur)
A Hex-like varient - Curse Shot, shoot an arrow that puts a curse on the target that turns them into a frog or something.
Multi-shot
It'd have a "ward" system. It'd be a combination of how totems and aspects work. It'd rely on the 4 elements.
- Fire Ward, every shot you do puts a DoT on the target, stacking up to three times. Every shot would refresh it.
- Water Ward, every shot would restore mana and put a attack speed buff/debuff onto the target. This would be your "healing" ward
- Earth Ward, would increase your damage by 10% and put a movement speed debuff on the target.
- Air Ward, 20% chance to fire 2 additional arrows (no ammo cost), and you shoot 2% faster
You'd heal via shots as well. It'd be silly :D but while you have a water ward down you shoot at your ally and it heals them up and gives them an attack speed buff. Possibly allow every ward to heal and give buffs depending on the ward you have down. :p -
Straight up I prefer vanilla hands down. But I certainly love neopolitan ice cream!

As selfish as this sounds, depending on the person I absolutely despite running people through dungeons. Even if they're my friends I'll just tell them, "No", or that I'm about to log to avoid doing it. If it's something quick though like DM or Stocks then no problem, but I don't like to really go out of my way. :S

I check my friends list to see who is on. If a friendly-friend is on I'll send them a message and start chattin' it up. Then I'll queue in for my daily heroic.
