I'd buy all the baby carriers I've always wanted in all the colors I've always wanted. (completely frivolous because I don't have young kids anymore and I have enough in my stash to teach with.)

Oh goodness. Asking me for a favorite books is like asking Imedla Marcos what her favorite pair of shoes is! LOL
Honestly I really really loved Anne Bishop's Dark Jewels Series. (Sci Fi) And I just recently blew through Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. I love his books.
If you like funny fluffy quick reads I highly recommend Janis Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels (One for the Money is the 1st one).

I had 2 hospital births and one birth center birth. My first was a "typical" American birth with the pitocin and epidural (18 hours active labor, spontaneous ROM). #2 was 26 hours in the hospial NO interventions at all, used hypnosis, acupuncture/pressure, and chiropractic care for pain management. #3 was a water birth with midwives, 15 hours, nearly pain free. It was honestly one of my most amazing experiences ever!

My 1st born ended up being allergic to disposable diapers. Even the expensive chlorine free ones made him break out. And since I already had the cloth I continued with kids 2 and 3.
