Oh god, absolutely not. I was so hardcore into Phantom at that age that I had eyes for absolutely nothing else!
-
We've discussed it! We just haven't come up with a good idea yet.

Do you mean my roommate, Dan? He wasn't at the end of the Wild Wild West review, but he was at the end of the Dark Shadows review. .....Unless you meant the What Women Want review? Either way, I don't think it's creepy that you think he looks like a porn star. However, I DO think it's creepy that you just publicly admitted to watching porn O_O. j/k I've never watched porn, but I know a lot of people do, so I don't judge you. And I'm sure it's much more of a compliment than an insult to compare Dan to a porn star. I shall tell him you think so when I get home tonight!
-
I will if she asks me to! It's entirely up to whether she thinks such a skit would benefit the content of the review.
-
Total accident! He liked it, though.... now he has the broken piece hanging above his bed like a nonworking hipster clock.

No, I never knew them. Even though I've been involved with TGWTG through Lindsay's videos for over three years, I didn't really join in with the community until about a year ago.

The Vampire Encyclopedia is a great place to start! You can find it on Amazon. Make sure you get the most recent edition.

I might get to Varney one of these days... (technically, it a penny-dreadful serial, not a novel, and the amassed contents over the years it ran comes to thousands of pages, which would be a huge chunk of content to tackle). But really I prefer to make videos about visual mediums, as text-based media is a bit difficult to illustrate in the video-essay format.

haha thanks! Right back atcha ;)

Having a healthy diet is important for people of all shapes and sizes! Even super healthy, totally fit people don't have a free pass to eat crap. That would just make them un-healthy and un-fit... Greasy and surgery foods are awful for your body, especially if they're overly processed and use corn oil or corn syrup. Natural foods (and organic) are so much better for your system. Eat lots of fiber, stick with whole grains, and get your sugars from fruit and your fats from fish and olive oil, and your liver (and BMI) will thank you til the end of your nice long healthy life.
-
No worries! It might have been one of Lindsay's other pets, but I really wouldn't know. You can ask her about it if you like.
-
You've got it a bit wrong. I like my vampires more human than animalistic, but the lovey dovey romance ones are not my cup of tea. I much prefer the lethal badass (but complex and tortured) villain type of vampires than the ingenue-wooing hero types. Yes, I prefer True Blood to 30 Days of Night, but within the True Blood style, I MUCH prefer the Erics to the Bills. Same goes for Phantom. Robert Englund's performance in the part is leagues beyond Gerard Butler's for my tastes.

Lindsay didn't like her editing job on the version of it that got posted on the site (against her will, before she had a chance to fix it). She was going to re-edit it and put it back up, but just never got around to it, then eventually changed her mind and just let it go.

I would feel disloyal for switching due to MY friendly relationship with Blip. I'm chummy with some of them and have visited their office hours too, you know. We're twitter, facebook, and foursquare friends. We've hung out in person entirely outside of Blip too. Would be pretty douchey of me to ditch them just for a few extra dollars. Things will get better soon, I'm sure.
-
It's not that she felt it was bad. I believe she explained that she felt it wasn't a good/accurate representation of her show as a whole. The way Blip channels work is that they're each supposed to be one coherent SHOW more than just a station like a TV channel. I know Lindsay wants to make sure that if anyone is coming to her show for the first time that what they see is a good example (in tone and value) of what they can expect to see from the other episodes in the show. In this case, it's more that the TLC episode was just too different from the others.

Based on the views I get and the cost of living in NYC, I'd probably have to make two videos a week to live off of them. I just do it for fun and artistic expression. I have a dayjob to pay the bills :P

Elisa Hansen’s Bio
One day in the future, my name will be heard, and the response will be, "Who? Oh, yeah, that lady who wrote that book about Death."
