Sooo... what makes "Athens music" so special? Are you just a music enthusiast in general who happens to live in Athens, or do you have a deep underlying belief that the music of Athens is mysteriously superior to that of other locales?
Ooh, good question! Well, for me, it's really about the discovery. I first fell in love with music here in Athens, so naturally I write about the bands that I get to see in this lovely town.
I'm sure that other cities have amazing music scenes as well, and I never hesitate to celebrate visiting bands that rock my knee socks off too. I do think that the community feel of the Athens music scene makes this town unique, though. What can I say? I love this place!
