I think that the debate is moot, because it's not the FGC vs esports it is the SRK community vs North American Leagues.

esports is a term to cover different genre's of competitive games played at a professional level but is being branded in this debate to represent a certain model or event structure in an effort to 'Rally to the cause' (whether on purpose or by accident, I don't know).

The reason I say its moot is its not SRK's FGC stopping the leagues from running the games, but Capcom who ultimately has the final say, which reasons unclear they have not given their support (there is alot of speculation as to why).

I personally side with the fans of competitive gaming, anything else would be a disservice, I have always believed that players and organizers have a responsibility to share our talents with the world. We have developed Fans, viewers, and spectators all who admire what we do and to deny them that I think is being selfish.

As for camp (assuming context) it means humorous due to its deliberate ridiculousness
