I'd say that's one element that certainly factors in. Personally I believe that it has more to do with compatibility than anything. For example, it's commonly considered a bad trait when a partner has low stamina but for someone who wants a partner who's more flexible about foreplay and can be gentle that tends to be much more common in a partner who can't just keep pounding. Similarly if someone likes it particularly rough and intense they might not want a dancer as their partner in the event that they might not have a forceful enough attitude. Of course none of these situation are 100% sure to happen as described here.

Seems like I'd have to see it to know- There are many things that are generally considered obscene that I'm indifferent to. One thing that I suppose comes to mind is when porn has a huge focus on the superiority of the dominant partner- To me that just seems like a gross concept.
