If a person owns a piece of land, do they own it all the way down to the center of the earth ?

For centuries the common-law doctrine was, Cujus est solum, ejus est usque ad coelum et ad inferos — literally, "To whomsoever the soil belongs, he owns also to the sky and to the depths." In other words, you had complete control over everything above and below your property.

Technically as I quote "Under the federal constitution of the India, Mineral Rights are being vested with the state and state is wholly responsible for judicial exploration, exploitation, development, conservation, environment, safety and promotion of Mineral based Industries."
So this must not be confused with subsurface rights.

The airspace is as according to the 1944 Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation it was declared declared that each country had sovereignty over the airspace above its territory, so basically Indian Government holds the rights and me or you can't declare a no flight zone over the small chunk of land we may own.

For space A 1967 treaty declared that the "exploration and use of outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies … shall be the province of all mankind."
Though the frontier of outer space was not defined, some experts argue that it begins about 90 kilometers above the earth's surface. That's is the lowest level at which orbital flight is practical, and it's also out of range of most nations' guns.
Moreover, The Declaration of Legal Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Uses of Outer Space (1963)
"All space exploration will be done with good intentions and is equally open to all States that comply with international law. No one nation may claim ownership of outer space or any celestial body. Activities carried out in space must abide by the international law and the nations undergoing these said activities must accept responsibility for the governmental or non-governmental agency involved. Objects launched into space are subject to their nation of belonging, including people. Objects, parts, and components discovered outside the jurisdiction of a nation will be returned upon identification. If a nation launches an object into space, they are responsible for any damages that occur internationally." So you dont own anything because we all own everything.

Hope this satisfies your quest for knowledge.
