After 3+ years of Blogger I made the switch to Wordpress this past August and haven't looked back!

it's such a cliche answer, but everywhere. the grocery store, magazines, other blogs, friends and family, television, music. i could sit here and list 500 things. it's all about what moves you.

i definitely plan on going! i haven't signed up yet, but have reserved my hotel room. DO IT! totally worth it. (i swear it sort of felt like summer camp!)

That photo is from New Years Eve, so I'm wearing one of those cliche 'Happy New Years' tiaras. Keepin' it classy!

Of course I love typography, and it's definitely not a secret! I don't think you can be a true designer without having a passion for it. As far as posting about type, if I see something I'm really in love with I share. But like you said, lots of other designers who blog go that route and I don't want to regurgitate the same material if possible. I also tend to go in phases of things I' interested in, clothing one week, packaging the next, etc. Typography might be just around the bend

I'm glad you like it! I'd been collecting photos in a folder on my desktop for a few years. And time I saw one on someone else's blog that I fell in love with or anything else that I happened upon. I knew that I wanted to share them in some way instead of letting them collect dust, but wasn't sure how exactly. Then one day it just came to me that I didn't need to say anything, the pictures told their own stories. And voila, Picture It was born.

i usually lean towards wearing statement pieces as opposed to loads of smaller accessories. so chunky cocktail rings, big bangles and necklaces. the one exception to the rule are my earrings. occasionally i'll put on a pair of chandelier earrings, but other than that it's a small pair of diamond studs every single day.

almost always it's their eyes and smile. i really believe you can tell a lot about people through those two things. if someone doesn't smile when being introduced, well, that's just a big turn-off.

i've been on Blogger since starting Design Crush. when i began i didn't really know much about code, so i wanted a simple platform. now web design is part of my day job and i'm hoping to make a switch to WordPress sometime in 2010. i think it allows for more versatility and customization and am really looking forward to using all of it's capabilities!

i love this question! my earliest memory is riding in my mom's blue camero on the way to my grandparents' house. my 5th birthday was coming up and i remember telling her that i couldn't wait until i was 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, but didn't want to mention 10 because "double digits" just seemed way too ambitious!

i'm all over the board with brands, but i definitely tend to stay loyal to things that are tried and true.
my morning routine includes Purology for my hair, Bath & Body Works body wash, Clearasil face wash, Clean & Clear astringent, Oil of Olay moisturizer and Nivea body lotion. Makeup: Smashbox primer, L'Oreal foundation, Benefit concealer, Make Up Forever eye liner, Cover Girl mascara, Clinique loose powder and Stila blush. Hair: Paul Mitchell mousse and Tre Semme root boost for wavy days. Aveda straight cream for flat iron days.
Wow, I'm such a product whore! Haha. -
my hometown is just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. it's a little bedroom community on the Ohio River called Beaver. (yes, seriously) growing up there it didn't really seem like anything special. it was only after moving away and living in other places that i really have grown to love it and the shelter it offered as a kid growing up. now i get incredibly excited to go back and visit (which only happens about once a year) and insist upon hitting up my favorite food locales! i can't say that i'd mind ending up back there one day either.

I set aside time in the morning pre-job for blogging, then schedule my posts to release throughout the day. I am guilty of leaving Twitter open in my browser all day, but only look at it occasionally. that leaves 8-5 open for my day job.

i'd definitely sleep in. then once i got around to rolling out of bed make a yummy breakfast and read the paper. the ACTUAL paper, not online. i'd take my pup to the dog park for a bit, then join a few somebodies for a leisurely picnic with lots of wine and chocolate. then the day would round itself out with a fun date night, like go kart racing and dinner. *sigh*

wow, this one's tough. after thinking about it for some time i have to say my purple glass-based lamps with cylindrical white shades that sit on either side of my bed. curvy, but stylish with good lines!

as my overall style has developed more and more i've learned not to stick to a particular list of stores. instead i pick things up wherever i fall in love with them, whether it's high-end or a discount store. it always feels like i'm discovering little treasures! of course i do have my perennial favorites: Anthropologie and Target among others.

what i like best about OKC (at the moment at least) is watching it grow right before my eyes. the resurgence in midtown and the birth of the plaza district is so inspiring. not to mention all the good that is hopefully in store from the passing of MAPS3. what i don't like is the distance to other major cities. at times it can feel confining and distant.
-
i follow a few different sites, such as Veer + font feed that keep me informed. i also keep my eyes peeled for type that i find inspiring throughout day to day life. signage and packaging are really great for inspiration!
