I only watch TV maybe 2 days out of the week. Star Treck night & CSI night.

      I honestly don't know how to respond to that! I'm not really very used to random compliments ^^;

      Thank you!

      Hooooooo boy.

Ok so, when I was in grade 6 (11ish years old), I met a girl named Angie in a pokémon chat room. She was funny and cool and didn't seem to mind chatting with me and laughing at my goofy jokes and stories. After hanging out for a few months, other people in the chat started joking about how we were a cute couple, and we both would get mad at them and say "It's not like that!" etc, but eventually, we started to realize that it kinda WAS "like that", and so we stopped getting upset about it and started dating.

We exchanged private ICQ numbers and got to chatting on there a lot. Exchanging little "I love you"'s and e-snuggling etc. Eventually we moved onto MSN and started to have one way voice chats, where I'd talk to her and she'd type back. The reason for this was she kept saying how much she hated her voice, and she was too embarrassed to speak. I kept trying to coax her out of that shell, but always to no avail.

This continued on for about two years. She lived only over in the next state, so it actually wouldn't be THAT hard to go see her, but being a young child, I had to wait until school holidays when my parents had some free time etc. But out schedules never matched up as she was always unable to meet me when my parents had the time.

Eventually, she slowly stopped talking to me, and I began to ask her if she was feeling alright. She continued to insist she was fine, just not very talkative. But it only ever got worse, until finally, after a week of no replies, I begged her to tell me what was wrong.

"You don't understand. You can't understand. I'm not who you think I am."

I tried to reason with her that whatever she was worried about, I wouldn't care.

"I can't... You don't even know the real me. Goodbye."

And that was the last I ever heard from her. Much later (as in, last year later), I came to the sobering realization that her behavior pointed to the very likely prospect that she was in fact transgendered, and was physically a male, and that she felt ashamed or embarrassed that she has kept quiet about it for so long. Sadly, by that point, I had no idea how I would ever contact her again to see if I could reconcile with her and perhaps regain the lost friendship.

And now you know the story of my first romance.

It is a land where anybody on the street has a deadly weapon and wants you to die because their frappuccino wasn't just right that morning.

It's a land where white children speak like a 90's Saturday night live skit about the ghetto, and black kids just pray their parents didn't pack them skittles so maybe they'll live through the day.

It's a land where the fat moron is king, and where idiots win lawsuits with alarming frequency.

Actually... Let's not go to America... It is a silly place.

All my neighbors are my best mates. So yeah. Something like that.

      South Park I guess...

      What a weird comparison.

    10. Maverik

Only if I absolutely love it, am watching it for somebody else's sake, or it's on TV and I'm too lazy to change the channel. Otherwise I'd rather watch something new.

    11. Maverik

Short and uninteresting? I don't really know how you'd describe it.

    12. Maverik

0 typically sadly. I just never really find the time to just sit and read amongst all the millions of other things I occupy my time with. That's not to say "Oh I don't have the free time to do it..." I have plenty of free time. I just never find myself in a "sit and read for several hours" mood lately.

The concept of "Best Friends" is ridiculous and is something I feel people get over after school. Really, the only time anybody ever actually thinks about their friends in a hierarchical sense is when they're asked questions like this.

I just have friends. Some older. Some closer. But I haven't called anybody my "best friend" since I was 12.

    14. Maverik

Not currently. Would be nice but you can't force these things.

    15. Maverik

The internet probably. Because it lets me connect with so many awesome people I'd have never met otherwise!

Before getting together: Any outing with another person where the intent is to test the viability of the two of you as a couple.

After getting together: Fancy nights out where your intent is to treat your partner to a romantic event.

I like text based communication because it allows me to process my words and thoughts before I commit to them. This is my primary issue with verbal communication, as it takes me longer to get to the result I want than the average person, and I feel I can convey myself better when I've got those precious few moments between responses to align my thoughts.

Beyond that, I much prefer face to face over phones.

So many secrets. I'm pretty sure everybody does, even if they don't think about them.

    19. Maverik

Pancakes I guess. I've never had a variety of waffles. The one time I had them properly, they were CAKED in hot fudge and WAY too sweet to finish.

I tend to think most people I would traditionally consider attractive become more attractive with the addition of glasses.

Taking them off changes their facial structure in an interesting way that makes me re-evaluate how I perceive them I guess.
