I want to be a police officer because I like helping people. I would rather risk my life to save that of a stranger than to sit behind a desk pushing papers. I like the unexpected danger and adrenaline rush! It feels good to go home after a long shift knowing that because of the work I do, someone like is able to go home to his or her family safe.
Yes, cops do get a bad rap sometimes, especially traffic cops...We don't make the laws, we enforce them.
I want to make a difference, and this is how I am doing it.
And, I've transported a few to psych before... Everyone breaks down sometimes, everyone has times where they need help. It just so happens I am that person that WANTS to help. We are not all douchebags...but...I have had douchebag moments with people who are not cooperative with me... you cant be nice to everyone... thats how officers get killed...EVERYONE we come in contact with is considered a threat... it is the mentality you have to maintain... I know to many officers that have died in the line of duty because they let their guard down... You can ask my friends, I am a completely different person when I am on duty. -
No, I am single. Maybe you should read prior posts to really get a better answer to this question. lol :)

3 years ago you would never have expected me to be working in law enforcement but It was something that I fell into by default.
I really do LOVE being a police officer and working in emergency operations/communications. I have always wanted to pursue a career where I am able to help other people.
In law enforcement every day is something new. Life is too short to live the same day twice is my theory. I am too young, and too much of an adrenaline junkie to be stuck behind a desk. I like not knowing what the next hour of my life has to offer me.
I do not take the job lightly at all. It is always in the back of my mind as I put on my uniform that today could be my last. I currently work for a small department but we run a lot of interstate and state highway traffic. Traffic stops are the number one killer of law enforcement officers.
I am currently in the process of being recruited to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and am excited to get into a more fast paced environment. Though Indianapolis is by far no safe department to work for I feel that If I am going to work in law enforcement I want to work with and for the best within Indiana.
I want to later (10 years or so) go into Emergency Communications Management. I have 3 years experience working in a 911 communications center and love the advancements in technology. It is a very different world in 911 and a lot of the great people that work in the field are overlooked by the media and community. In my opinion it is easier mentally to be a police officer than a dispatcher. I love both aspects of the field. No matter what I will I do in life, it will involve Emergency Management.
It's all about helping people. That's what I am here for. -
I just woke up and am laying in bed checking my email. IU t-shirt and a pair of bball shorts.

Funny you ask. I just applied to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. It is a very long recruiting process and if accepted I will spend 28 weeks at their training academy.
I am certain when my mom finds out I have applied she will cry and tell me to not accept the offer. Indianapolis is not a safe city by any means. My buddy Mike is a 6 year veteran of the department and loves it.
I figure that If I am going to go into law enforcement full time I want to be a part of the best so I can prevent REAL crime. I like to challenge myself and I like to help others.
The mohawk picture was cute... And the fact that you were post shower makes me wish that camera angle was just right. I love hitting on straight guys! :) -
1st grade. Ashley Miller. Halloween party. She is married and expecting soon... I am not the father lol.

I love hugs. Especially airport hugs, the ones that last for almost a full 60 seconds because you dont want to let go!

I mix it up. Here is an example:
Monday: Cardio, Arms & Chest, Abs
Tuesdays: Cardio, Shoulders & Back
Wednesday: BREAK
Thursdays: Cardio, Abs, Legs
Fridays: Arms, Triceps
Sat: Cardio (Optional)
Sun: Shoulders, Back, Abs
I do a lot of cardio because it is a great stress reliever and I enjoy it. -
Thanks. :) Depends on who you are. I'm always up for a first date, can't promise a second.

The chief's wife worked with us in dispatch and my co-worker Serf wanted me to join the department with her. After a lot of convincing I agreed and Serf and I went through the training process. It is a rewarding job and I am an adrenaline junkie anyways. I graduate from BSU next fall and plan to find an emergency management administration position. You never know, I may change my mind and go full time as a patrolman. Just remember, not all cops are douchebags!

HAHA thank you! I'm just your average corn-fed boy next door. I doubt I could handle that lifestyle though, too cut throat and judgmental for me.
-
Depends... I usually wear boxer-briefs, go commando when wearing bball shorts, briefs or a jock when at the gym.

Yes, I am single. I have this way of either not being someones type, them not being my type, or messing up something good. I blame being in Indiana where there is a bad selection to date from. :) Believe me, it would be nice to be in a relationship but right now, every candidate I meet either leads me on or is not dating material.

My current 5 top movies are:
1. Drop Dead Gorgeous
2. Untraceable
3. Vantage Point
4. Changeling
5. Taking of Pelam 123
I work 2 jobs and am a full time student so the only leisure reading I do is from a text book. I admit I also judge books by their covers, if the cover is lame, I will not pick it up.

Danny Brown’s Bio
Hard to chase but good to catch and could change the world with his hands behind his back.
