Just found this question... sorry it took me so long to reply. Where are you located? That really is where to start.

My husband... Seriously I couldn't have married a funnier man. We can laugh at the most awkward times, and look back days later when most people would say "What were we thinking?" and still laugh hysterically.

Staying in the Air Conditioning, Playing in the water, whether it is our kiddie pool, or our neighbors big in ground pool. Between that, and lots of water and freeze pops...

How does anyone find time to do anything? Most of my blogging takes place after hours... When the kids are sleeping, spending time with Daddy, etc. When you are a work at home mom, you find time to do what needs to get done in between kids, lunch, laundry, food... it is not a balance you can really "describe" it is something you just have to watch I guess.
On an average night, I can get 2-4 pieces written depending what they are for, or what they are on, once the kids are asleep for the night.

I would probably pick Spanish because there are a lot of people in my region that speak Spanish. I think it would be most beneficial!

Yes, I believe there are certain things in life we are meant to go through, and no matter what we do, there is a certain path we are supposed to be on!

Personally, while I think I should always encourage my kids to eat real food first, I am a total hypocrite and always want to eat dessert first to make sure I actually have "room" for it! LOL

Interesting question! The first movie I remember seeing in the theater was Prancer when I was a young kid. It was Christmas time, and my mother brought me during the day while my Dad was at work... I am still really sentimental about that movie!

I became a doula working for a local agency in my area when I was 19 years old. Mothers Care placed an ad in the local help wanted when I was looking for work, and had been familiar with what a doula was because a client in the Chiropractors office I worked in actually was one, and had fully told me what they did. I was always interested.
It was not expensive to me because they provided the training to everyone they hired in a weekend long self hosted workshop, although if you go through a larger agency like DONA international, it is more pricey.
Depending on which pathway you choose to become a certified doula, it can take a year, or sometimes longer. It depends on who exactly you want to be certified through.
I was matched through the agency, and at that time I did only postpartum care. I typically worked with mothers who had older children, during their transition coming home from the hospital. Although I did work with women on bedrest as well.

I did Passion for Birth last summer. The workshop was Friday, Saturday, and Sunday July 30th, 31st, and August 1st... We had the awesome Teri Shilling come out to teach it in Milford, CT. Unfortunately Robin Elise Weiss was supposed to teach it, but had a horrible loss in her family.
It was a blast and anyone looking to become a childbirth educator, I HIGHLY suggest Passion for Birth!

I honestly just started writing one day as a way to vent, and talk about parenthood. I never expected anyone to read it, or comment... It was mostly for my own sanity...
I am kind of thankful I started...
