I'm joining the Marines, not the Navy. And if you wanna know, just do your homework like I did. Make sure you ask your recruiter everything you wanna know, then look it up for yourself online to confirm the truth. If you're serious about joining you won't mind doing the research.

No parent raises their kid to be gay or straight. Sexuality doesn't become a serious factor until your teens, and even before then, you kind of have a clue on what you like. Parents make presumptions based on the norm that their kid will be inherently straight, and whatever happens next happens next.
