If you mean the band, We're not very musically talented, pop punk is simple and easy to write. Plus collectively it's our favourite genre.
If you were referring to just me, I wouldn't do that because I'm in my band because it's with my friends and it's fun. -
Metal! I listen to much more than I do pop punk. I'm not a good enough drummer to play metal. But i'm not a bad screamer/vocalist so it would be fun to do that.

I just ignore comments like that, If I heard it from someone who I look up to musically then I'd care. But it's just an anonymous person trying to dampen my spirits ;D

It's not about how good you are, it's about who you know. get out there and talk to people, go to lots of acoustic gigs (Y)

you're probably right. But if I didn't try I'd hate myself for the rest of my life, it's the only thing I can motivate myself to do. Lyric writing has made me a much better person and I'm having an awesome time doing it at the moment.
Wether we achieve anything or not I'll have the memories of trying which are worth more than anything. -
I like most music. no one likes everything but I like the majority of it :)

The simple fact that I'm not very good. Sure, I can play a standard pop punk beat and a fill here and there but I'm self taught and I'm a rubbish teacher, I did the bare minimum with everything so I don't really have any technique.
I'm not confident when I play because I have a bad drum kit made for metal music, it's all I could afford at the time. Luckily I've be blessed with an endorsement from a pretty awesome company, I get to pick my own kit out and everything so I'll be much happier then :) -
Yes :) I get on with them most of the time, we used to have fallings out a lot because I wasn't really doing anything with my life.
But now I'm doing my own thing and earning my own money etc it's alllll good :) ...plus I get them into shows for free -
obviously it's 'nice' and I occasionally post them to say thanks but I do much rather people post actual questions/something I can properly respond to :)
