Around 5 years. I still talk to some. It's getting fewer over time, mostly because my social circle is mostly (appropriately enough) people I've met through social dance. I still write birthday and christmas letters to very many of them, however.

The thing that makes it difficult is distance--I try and get together with HS friends during school holidays and such, but other than that it's difficult to work out.

      The good kind.

More seriously, 9bit, 8bit, chiptune, trance, basically anything electronic. I'm a fan of other stuff too, but when it comes down to a favorite type, it's definitely "awesome electronic music".

Really not much at all. We don't interact much. But hey, you like and make chiptunes, and that's coooool. You also jumped into OHC and have been pretty successful at getting yourself to do music stuffs, so that's something that I'd consider a good trait in terms of actually following through with things that you want to do.

Yes, pretty randomly. Sometimes you don't think to listen to music or whatever. I know there's many many people who don't listen to music when they work, because they can't focus...of course I'm not one of those people, though interestingly I should note that chiptune music tends to distract me ever so slightly more than other music. ;P

Hard to say. If possible I'd definitely have different wallpapers cycling through for each; that would be awesome. One would be for music, one would be for web browser, one for thunderbird, one for notes? One for whatever I'm doing at that moment...I don't know, 6 is pretty hard to use up.

Depends on what the translation is for. Generally surname first; that's just so that dialogue and such reads how it's supposed to. To avoid confusion I will usually always affix some honorific (e.g. -san) to names in japanese order.

No real idea what to do when tagging music tho.

I haven't downloaded it yet, actually...I have it bookmarked though, I swear! (I have catching up to do...)

I don't think quite all that much about companies. It's just kind of a case by case basis. I feel like lately indie games have been where all the interesting (not to mention cheaper) stuff is, so that's where most of my attention is...

I don't think gaming drama has ever really influenced my gaming activities, at least not that I can remember.

RL drama has affected my gaming activities, but that's more just by indirection, as whatever mood I'm in will just naturally have an impact on things.

Ugh. Well if it was =really= a choice between the two stupid but happy. But if you ask me to actually pick one, then I'd be smart+unhappy because it'd be better for the people around me.

Weird tense...I feel like I've played enough NES games that this question isn't applicable to most things, besides things like FFII and FFIII that were never released in the US.

In terms of whether I play the remake or the original though...kind of a tossup depending on the game. For the specific case of FFI, for example, I feel like both are valid. NES version for the extreme nostalgia and so I can play it the way it's meant to be played...but I also like the remakes because the 16-bit style is also beautiful, and it's less tedious in terms of things like buying items. For FFVI I'd probably stick to the original, because GBA version probably has worse sound despite having extra stuff. Plus given that it's probably my favorite FF game it deserves to be played on the original console.
