      I would rest and ice it until it felt better, and if it doesn't go away fast I would get medical help. Then I would continue training after it felt better again(: If you run when you are injured you will just have to take off more time in the future

      Hey, thank you! (: Track is run around a track and the distances vary from 100 meters up to 3200 meters, and there is also field events in track. In cross country everyone runs the same distance, usually 5k in most states (3.1 miles), and you run on a different course every week that is usually a softer surface. (such as grass or dirt) There is also many more people in a cross country race than in a track race.

      I try to think of my goals while I am running or a word that motivates me so I have a reason for running so long. Running with a friend that you can talk to is also really helpful(:

      Build into running more mileage slowly, don't think negatively while you run, relax and breathe relaxed, drink a lot of water, eat nutritious food(and remember to eat a good amount of iron!), and learn to enjoy running, it really can be great(:

      Thanks! My friend and I are near the same speed, sometimes we switch off who is faster on certain days

      I started in 7th grade and got more into it in 8th/9th grade. When I started I usually run 3-4 miles a day and now I run 6-8 miles a day. Thanks! (:
