There are mainly 2 places near me that hold events. An indie children's book store and a library. I check both of their sites every few months for new events. If an author that I love is having a release soon, I'll usually be on the look out for your info too. Other times, I just find out from connecting with other bloggers in my area.

Weeks in advance. That way, if I don't like the book and wish to be removed from the tour, I'm giving the host plenty of time to find a replacement for that stop.

Breathe underwater because I've heard from a singing crab that it's "better down where it's wetter... Under the seeeeeeeea!"

I'm going to guess Kat would want to fly because she wants to prove to the world that she's a better Superman than Clark Kent.

Hmm... this is a very serious question, which I will answer in a very serious matter. Seriously.
I'm an innie and Kat is an outtie since she is the yin to my yang. It's the only way for the world to achieve balance, of course. Unless it happens to be the night of the winter solace where the veil is so thin, it's hard to tell which of us has the innie or the outie. Perhaps if you squint your eyes. Now tilt your head a bit to right. There. Do you see it? No?

      Well... this was awkward.

It depends on the publisher, but I hear the general rule is 4 months before release to ask. That's around the time when they start sending ARCs out. If you don't get an ARC, some pubs are known for sending finished copies of books you requested months previously.

I usually keep all review copies (ARC and finished copies) in one pile and everything else (books I've purchased) is shelved. I'm not sure hot Kat does hers, but I imagine it's something similar.

Maybe 2 if I'm lucky. Kat is a faster reader than I am and she could probably kick out more. I've seen her do 3-4 once when she was being super productive.

Neither of us write our reviews immediately after reading the book. We are usually working on a bunch of other posts that take up a lot more time to complete. Our reviews are usually written last min the day they go up because we are professional procrastinators.

There are a bunch of sites you can sign up for. A few are Bewitching Book Tours, AToMR, Buy the Book Tours (they are new), Askmit (though not really accepting YA blogs), Bookish Brunette, Entangled Publishing has a newsletter you can sign up for on their website where they send out cover reveal info and blog tour invites, and some others I'm forgetting.

We also occasionally get emails from publishers or authors.

Our Feedburner is still there for people who choose to still subscribe to it, but we've gone back to our normal feed URL. If people want to subscribe via email, they can do so via the email option on the sidebar.

Thankfully, we never really pushed for people to sign up with Feedburner (we just used the email sign up that comes with Jetpack for Wordpress), so we aren't losing many email subscribers at all and the feed never went down. So all is good for now. :)

I'd say use Rafflecopter because it makes it easy to check for cheaters. It's also just way easier to set up the giveaway period. I'd also make sure I had giveaway rules listed.

      Baltimore City? Or County?

Towson is a nice area, but can be expensive. Plus the traffic on 83 is something that will make you bang your head against your steering wheel. Owings Mills and Pikesville might be nice compromises since they are cheaper. Some parts of Catonsville are nice, but I'm not sure on price. Columbia is also very desirable, but most is kinda pricy. It's a great area if you can swing it though. Great parks, walking trails, restaurants, etc. It's in Howard county, but getting to Baltimore is not too far of a drive. I'd stay away from the Woodlawn area.

Ours came with our theme, but I know you can find JQuery codes around the web for blogger. If you Google "Silder for blogger" or something similar, lots of examples should pop up with instructions. Here's one site:

It is recorded, but I know I have had a bunch of books expire. But yeah, some I have declined after seeing other reviews coming in or just all out losing interest. However, I download them as soon as I'm approved and they stay in my kindle archive. I'm slowly getting through the ones I did accept. :)

Hmm... that's a good question. Between Kat's half pirate skills, my Jedi mind tricks and Archer being a Viking, that would be one hell of a fight. But I'm guessing Kat and I would have to team up to even stand a chance against The Viking.
