Rather than take the route or magic like Equestris did, Nequestria almost entirely shrugged it off and took up the mantle of Technology, which is one of the arguably major differences between the two. A lot of the ponies that mainly use magic are scattered due to its popularity, which is why I came here in the first place.

That said, much of the country is in a state of turmoil from war, though I don't know all of the details myself. Our Celestia was ursurped by Dusk Gleam (our Twilight Sparkle) who is working on restoring Nequestria to its former glory.
