Fairly said. That being said though, it was a pageant. You have to be well prepared for those things. I felt so bad for that one girl who was like freaking out. You did a really excellent job though. You were very poised and your answer was beautiful.
While this is very true, and the girls did work hard to prepare as best they could, those girls were not, in any way, used to public speaking or being on a stage, and then those lights are in your eyes, and you realize that every single person in that room is looking at you, it's a bit scary. Backstage, some girls were crying, because they felt they did horribly. I felt so badly for them!
Thank you very much. I'm sure if I didn't have years of experience with theatre, I would have been just as scared as the other girls. I think I did alright. And it's always a bonus when you can make your audience laugh. Thank you!
