      Hello friends, I have a "deep" question to ask all of you: If your life's actions could be summed up as a one-sentence message to the world, what would you want it to be?

      I searched for happiness, maybe I've found it, not sure.

      I'm sure that, just like every other grad student, there's at least one research project out there in your field that you'd rather be working on than your thesis. So what is/are yours?

      I think if I can pick research projects all over again, I'd go for projects with more environmental chemistry emphasis (as opposed to the current biochemistry/biophysics stuff I'm doing). For example, if I opt to stay in the NMR field, this would be a nice project to be on:

      So are you planning to stay in the cold northeast once you're done with grad school, or you gonna move on to some more hospitable locale? =P

      Given that it's 15 degrees Fahrenheit outside right now, I'd say moving to a more hospitable town. =)

      Some places I thought about include San Francisco (if I can afford it), DC, Portland (the Oregon one), and Taipei.

      These places are also in consideration, but they're not more hospitable: Portland (the Maine one), Montreal, Quebec City.

      Pullman, WA circa 2050. Maybe WSU would still be there?
