In the very broad genre of rock, most likely alternative rock which covers punk rock/hardcore and indie rock and this genre which cannot be named as other than modern 90's/00's "alt rock"... I've also been meaning to check out low-fi. Classic rock is also goooood.

BLUES AND JAZZ ARE ALSO GREAT SOMETIMES, HOLY SHIT. I've recently warmed up to electronic music but I haven't gotten into the genres, too much effort.

I make a basic outline of the beginning, middle and conclusion and flesh out character profiles/the universe, if it's sci-fi or whatnot. Then I actually try and write the damn thing, then I get stuck in the middle series of events. I basically make it up as I go along thereafter.

Not really. What happened to Jayne's split-second moment of concern hinting at romantic feelings for KAYLEE when she was wounded in the pilot? I sorta squee'd at that. I never really liked Simon as a character, just couldn't warm up to him.

Book's backstory, definitely. Although if Firefly continued, I bet you Joss would've killed everyone and Mal/Inara's romanced would be doomed by her terminal illness, Kaylee/Simon would've broken up somehow and Jayne would probably die sacrificing himself in a surprising display of loyalty.

Joss's formula for his shows just grates on me nown o matter how awesome the show actually is. I'd prefer it if not everyone dies so predictably and lasting, functional relationships were possible.

I thought he wasn't bad, really. He was kinda cute but Daniel will always be my favourite character. Wish they'd given him more time to develop as a character but I didn't mind too much.

AtLA. Superior character development, their camaraderie was just... NAKAMA-ISH. Even though LoK is more mature, it's just got less *substance* but I still enjoy it.
