To maintain/improve the integrity in the community & to be a vehicle to promote/expand it as a whole.

What kind of help do you need? I can't do it all you know.... ;)

I think there is more fear than there is 'hate'.... people in Chicago are guilty of clique-ism. People have security in their cliques. A lot of people get there following & hook ups through association, which is cool, but some of these artists take the cliques & the politics too far. A lot of talented people I know are shut out because people want to keep their spot, or they want their buddy to keep their spot, so that buddy can do them a favor later down the line. Talent is secondary. 'Hustle' & politics have taken precedence over talent.

"I Use To Love H.E.R." & "Po Pimpin'" because the two songs come close to representing the extreme contrast of the artists here. Can you name me another city that produced 2 two hit records that were so different from a stylistic & substance stand point?
-
Quality, originality, consistency, & status of the artists said producer is working with. Also said producers ability to make artist BETTER.

Personally, I enjoy both groups equally. However EPMD has more classic material. If I have a personal Mobb Deep marathon in my car it will last for hours.... If I have one for EPMD it will last for days. Mobb Deep classics go like 'Shook Ones' (Part i & ii) 'Survival..." "Quiet Storm" "N 2 Deep" Etc. EPMD is almost endless with the classics they made. And songs like "You Gots To Chill" "So What Ya Saying" "You're A Customer" "Who's Booty" "Please Listen To My Demo" Etc. totally changed the rap game with a sound that hadn't been done before it...

If you read my responses to questions below or you follow my twitter you already know what I do.

As of right now... I can help unify Chicago as far as putting all of the info out there that I can. I think having a twitter network like the one I've been building will really help. Little known up & coming producers may learn of beat battles & other opportunities through following my tweets, Rappers make hook up with vocalists to do hooks or producers & beatmakers, & so on & so forth. Right now I'm using twitter primarily, but as it grows or stagnates I will respond accordingly. The more followers I get the more info I can collect & distribute & the more effective I can be as an intermediary. I hope to get enough followers to have a blog soon & I hope my role in the Chicago Hip Hop scene can be larger in the future, but no matter how small the role I will do my part to help the scene grow, & the help artists & fans be better informed of whats going on.
