If you come first, the judges were biased. If you come last, you suck at riding. If you use a crop, you're abusing your horse. If you don't use a crop, you're letting them take advantage of you. If you let an inexperienced rider ride your horse, you're ruining it. If you let an experienced rider ride your horse, they're doing all the training for you. If you jump high, you're a showoff. If you jump low, you can't ride. If you support racing, you support animal abuse. If you don't, you're a tree hugger who doesnt know what they're talking about. If you wear expensive breeches, you're a snob. If you wear cheap breeches, you're nobody. If you buy a lot of tack for your horse, you're spoiled. If you don't, you don't deserve them. If you discipline your horse, you're abusive. If you don't, you're soft. Someone is always going to disagree with you. Don't let it matter.

my trainer saw a video of him on the internet:
and called our dealer in ireland and it happened. its a really complex story behind it but basically we were not supposed to get him because multiple people outbid us be over double our money, but his owner still sold him to us because he wanted to go to me where he knew he would be looked after and loved versus being on some international riders string.
