They don't normally get the pronunciation wrong, just the spelling. I've seen, Chrystal, Krystal, Kristal, Kristell, Christal, and so forth. I'm always like, "Ya know... if I didn't know how to spell a girl's name and I knew it was pronounced "Crystal", I would at least spell it like the regular noun since, that unlike the others, is a word.
