Woah, lots of questions!
I got into retouching when I was in University, but first discovered the joys of Photoshop when I was in College. I actually remember asking my College Photography tutor if there were any jobs that solely consist of using Photoshop, so I guess the retouching seeds were planted there! I explored it over the years and found I loved it more and more, and yeah, here I am doing it as a job!
It's pretty easy to get into it really, get Photoshop, practice like hell and build up a portfolio, offer to do test retouches for people and build up a client base. Et Voila. Just keep practicing and you'll get better and better. It's one of those jobs where you just never stop learning!
You don't have to be a photographer no, but I find it helpful knowing how light falls etc, but it's by no means necessary!
It can be extremely stressful at times, and the industry can be rather wearisome, but I adore my job and can't imagine doing anything else!

Red, easily :D I'm a natural blonde and red is the first colour I dyed my hair (by accident!) I've been black, purple, blonde, white and varying shades of brown. I always come back to red in the end! I'm yet to find my perfect shade though.

My boyfriend and I have been discussing this a lot lately as we've just started playing the lottery. Personally, I would give a big chunk to various charities, pay off all our debts, take my friends on an epic night out and pay off their debts also, as well as buying them all presents. I would have cosmetic surgery and go on a clothes/shoes shopping spree. I'd buy my boyfriend and I a gorgeous house and make it look badass, as well as setting up my own photo studio. And various other shit.

English, as well as a small smattering of French and German. As well as a tiny bit of Russian. I was to be fluent in Russian one day, when I was a child I could hold a fairly decent conversation, but alas no more. But yeah I'm only fluent in English, and Stupid.

I can't think of any off the top of my head really! Light tests and outtakes can turn out to be really great shots. thought I'm a sucker for hilarious outtakes, I have a vault of bribery :D

When I was a kid I wouldn't step on the cracks in the pavement, but that was more OCD than superstition!

I can't name 5, but there are 3 that I adore, and look up to immensely. They inspire me to drive myself, and to keep pushing for what I want to achieve, rather than inspire my work directly. They are the ever awesome Erwin Olaf, Miles Aldridge and David LaChapelle.

I've never really thought about it much! I've been engaged once before, and I know that the feeling of being asked, and accepting, is so awesome that it wouldn't really matter where it was.

I once worked as a waitress in a cafe on Christmas Day when I was 15. I also happen to be the worlds clumsiest person. I spilled hot soup on someone, tripped over various things, messed up peoples orders and had several panic attacks in front of all the customers. It was utter hell on earth. Never again. I think they were happy not to see me back too!

I can't decide between black and grey. That's rather boring isn't it.

The reason being that I feel most comfortable wearing black. Every piece of clothing I own is black. Except for a red gingham strappy sundress that I haven't worn in years. If I wear colour I feel uncomfortable and want to hide. Although I dye my hair red.

I recently bought a mattifying top coat of nail varnish, so I suppose mixing up matte and glossy nails would be kind of cool and less boring. But yeah, black.

I'm going to an awesome club night that's run by my mates called Judder. It's on every month and it;s always themed, but the halloween one is always spectacularly awesome. So yeah. I'll be dressing up in fake gore and drinking far too much vodka :D

I've been meaning to blog more but I haven't really had much to say! But yeah once I'm shooting regularly again I'll definitely be posting more :) Sometimes I'm not sure if I should do it or not as I never know if people are even reading it haha. So thankyou, you've really encouraged me :) I may do one this week as a general update type thing.
