Hrm. I actually just had this conversation with @jaldez on the phone. o.o; I am not sure if there is anything that *can* be done unless one or more of the following happened:
a.) ceasing support for the PS2.
b.) reconsider their stance on add-ons
c.) start showing us they are at least considering a larger, more substantial update in the form of an expansion for FFXI.
Mists of Pandaria is the type of expansion FFXI should have had. Not necessarily the inclusion of a new race and job, but traversing to the eastern lands since a lot of quests/missions frequently reference this region. My guess is that the reason its not being pushed could very well be the same dead horse we keep visiting; that damn PS2 and its limitations.
I would sincerely like to see another expansion. I don't think its impossible for XI to continue, because games such as UO and EQ have continued on for a far longer time than XI has. But the current slap-to-the-face-updates we are getting for XI makes me think that the well is running dry for XI. I really hate to admit (let alone think) that maybe others were right; that its their way of pushing people onto XIV. The two are fundamentally different games, and I still deeply appreciate what XI has and has done. But with things the way they are and with Tanaka running the ship? I'm damn surprised more people aren't jumping the ship and headed to either WoW, XIV, SWtoR, or any other MMO out there. But... right now we're getting increasingly closer to that level 99 cap and there isn't much to sink our teeth to. I'll be surprised if XI doesn't announce its closure at the end of those two years... or at the least, closure of more servers. :\ -

Uh, I guess I'd give it to Palom/Scottie since he had expressed interest in joining Ragnarok server but wasn't sure if he could spend the money to come join. I know the other guys would love his company immensely, too.

I dunno. It sounds kinda icky to name a sammich after someone. I mean, what if you went on saying, "Hay, I am gonna eat up <insert sammich name here>!" o.o; Sounds cannibalistic! If not very perverted...

If I could change one thing, it would be... nothing. Even though I had regrets, even though there were MANY things that went bad that year, and even though I wish a lot of things were different... in retrospect I wouldn't change a thing. In the long run what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, no? I still miss certain things, and I am still very sad about it... but I don't think it will keep me from looking forward.

Uh, kinda flip flops around. At the moment I prefer to listen to anime music but I also like classical, pop, indie, jazz, etc.

My favorite season is fall. Its a little cooler, still sunny, and the leaves turn pretty colors before going CRUNCH beneath your feet! :D

Hrm. I'd have to say... Hawaii. Sure, there is Japan or even Spain, but right now I could go for a nice tropical beach, a stay at a resort, and just melt away on the sand.

I used a Elven name generator (http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/vortexshadow/names.html). Cal means faith and aera means song/singer. I thought it fit since I wanted to be a whm and a bard in FFXI. ;)

To manipulate the elements! Would be really cool to just make it rain wherever I am when its spring, too, so I won't have to deal with so much pollen!
