There is a type of squash on the island that is very hearty in colder weather but, being an island, we don't get what I would consider a winter. The temperatures, as you can imagine, do drop rather rapidly when the sun goes down. The squash is, in appearance, like a small butternut squash but is much sweeter to the taste.

The night I arrived there was a hot meal in the oven for me, from the owner of Jutesie's here on the island, I was famished, wet, and tired. It was the best meal I had ever tasted.

      Thank you Patsy!

If you had asked me two months ago, before I'd come to the island, I would have said dogs. Now, cats. Definitely cats.

My mother had a thing for Han Solo (and Harrison Ford), she said he reminded her of my father. My father had a thing for Uhura but said he would pick mom over her in a bar fight. She would hit him in the arm and they would laugh.

Personally, it is a toss up between Han and Spock.
