The Beast is great as always, but I've hit a few financial snags so I haven't traveled in it yet. Still slowly but surely fixing things one by one as I find the time and money for it.
-
Right now I'm just living in one place making my money by working a few different jobs that I had before I got the van. As far as when I hit the road, my funds will be reliant on what I have saved.
-
No humidity issues as of yet, but Southern California is a pretty dry climate.
-
I was planning to leave this spring (right about now), but things didn't pan out with having enough money to get the van into the shape I need/want it to be before traveling…not to mention having enough for gas money on the way! I'm hoping this fall I can head up the coast though!
-
I'll probably start doing a more regular video update once I'm traveling. Not much is going on since I'm currently staying in one place.
-
Yeah I was already kind of banking on around 10/mpg or around there. I know these vans are gas guzzlers. I also have AAA.
-
Thanks for the info, I'll look into it!
-
I'm not yet certain of the gas mileage because I haven't driven it much since getting it. I'll update that on my blog whenever I do figure it out though!
-
I found it in San Diego up in Escondido after scouring for weeks. I also looked at a few up in LA. I wasn't sold on my van until I saw it in person because it looked like a piece of junk from the listing, so the best advice I can give is to always go look in person if there's even a chance it might be the right van.

Yes I am! I have a photo blog where you can see some of my better/favorite shots: http://chelsearoberson.wordpress.com/

Hahaha, as often as they come to mind…which is actually quite often. :)
-
I get to shower as often as I'd like, but I generally keep it to about once a day. Currently I'm parked in the backyard of a friend who I pay for the space and to have access to the bathroom, laundry, electricity and internet.
