It was just some random night last summer. I went to this party. It was ok, nothing great. I was tipsy and walking home alone at like 6am. I decided to just cut through fields to get home quick. I came across like this wide open path under an arch of trees and it was just stretched out before me. I had never seen anything so beautiful and it just made me ridiculously happy :)

Interracial relationships aren't nearly as big a deal as they were years ago. In fact, I'd say it's a little weirder to find someone who ONLY dates inside their race, rather than someone who dates outside their race. I've liked more girls that were white, black, and other races than I've liked that were puerto rican. Nothing wrong with puerto rican girls, it's just the girl herself that matters, not what her race is. I'm hispanic, but I'm pretty detached to my culture because I enjoy just being myself, regardless of what culture I'm brought up in.

Interfaith relationships can be tricky, trust me. I think that as long as the 2 don't get married and have kids it shouldn't really be difficult, but it can get that way at times. For instance, if I'm an atheist and my girlfriend is a devout christian who refuses to have sex until marriage because "God wants her to stay pure"? Well, I'd respect that but it'd kinda suck for me. The truth is though, in this day and age most people are only sort of religious. People are sort of catholic, sort of jewish, sort of everything, and it can be both a good and bad thing. The good side, from what I see at least, is that it both allows people to make their own decisions free of the words of some alleged overseeing, all-powerful creature, and it makes them take more responsibility for their actions. As far as raising kids goes.. I don't believe in organized religion, i have my own ideas about god and I think that you can't put any constrictions on the idea of why we're here. So that being said, I'd probably tell my wife we should raise the kids without any particular religion, and when they're old enough to understand, we explain the god concept and that it's not right or wrong to believe in it.

My parents tried to get me to be catholic, I had to go to sunday school, do my communion, and all it did was make me bring up the obvious questions and holes in the christian and catholic faith. We're all sinners in some respect, and what really got to me was the unchanging form of the bible. As society changes, religion needs to be able to change with us. In 2011, if you try and tell me that sex is wrong if you're not married, homosexuality is a choice and they SHOULDN'T be allowed to marry, and abortion is wrong? I'll laugh at you, because all 3 of those are bullshit. Sex isn't wrong, it's not some disgusting act to be hidden away under covers. It's a form of intimacy, a vital part of a relationship and it's beautiful. As long as people practice it safely, it's a non-issue. I've seen gay couples, and they're some of the most loving, caring people I've ever seen and they deserve to be able to celebrate that love with those who love them.

No one likes abortion, but the truth is that sometimes it needs to happen. It's a necessary evil, and if you're killing that which has no life, and has never lived, it's not "murder." It's awful, stressful and traumatic for the woman who has to experience it, but it's not murder. Guys, you have no right to tell a woman what she can do with her body.
