Dude. We have a box-load of beer bottle caps just waiting for me to craft with! I haven't come up a final plan yet, but I think I'm going to paint them. Then glue them on centerpieces. OR use them as the base of our DIY bouts. I also thought of stringing them... or using them to spell out our initials and glue them to a backing of some kind. OR you could glue them together to make coasters. Just go out and a grab a can of spray paint and a glue gun and see where it takes you. That's how I get all my ideas. Trial and error. And lots of intoxicants.

Penelope Cruz is the most famous person I've ever met. I sat next to her at the Oscars in 2007 (I was a seat filler). But I couldn't for the life of me say anything to her. We shared a giggle when Ellen did the vacuum bit, but I didn't want to bug her. She was nominated that year so she was nervous, and probably didn't want to speak to the a-hole sitting next to her. But she was absolutely stunning. Most beautiful woman I've ever seen. For real.

Puerto Vallarta: 2008. Fiance Mike and I had THE BEST trip ever. We made our engagement official that trip... we ate amazing food... we stayed in a fab beachfront hotel on the cheaps, we drank day beers in the street... we ate lobster in the hills with a view of the bay... we zip-lined through a fucking jungle... we took the bus to this local guy's shanty and got loaded with him... we flew by the seat of our pants... we had a BLAST. in fact, we had so much fun in PV, that we have decided to vacation there for our honeymoon. Me-yowzaa!

I have major plans for this blog. I am a writer. That is what I am and aspire to be full time. And the day I get paid to be nothing BUT a writer will be the greatest day of my life. So after the wedding, I'm pullin out the big guns on the blog - with emphasis on branding, advertising, and of course keeping the content entertaining and relevant. It won't turn into "The Bowie Wife" or anything. My site is about weddings written for folks involved with weddings in some aspect, so much of the content I write after the wedding will mirror the type of content I currently write. I will focus more on sharing all my freak-flag wedding ideas & my nutty DIY tutorials, and look to feature other brides and grooms that exude "Bowie"... I'll bring back Hipster Bride Style Guides, I'll expand my Weddingbee parody by adding new "pieces" to the HIGHVE. I've got big plans. BIG. So this bitch ain't goin no where. Married or not.

Concert $$ is sadly going toward our wedding... Which makes me sad because I LOVE concerts and have been a total concert whore my whole life practically. BUT, I am very much looking forward to the mini-"concert" my sis is putting on at our wedding. It's gonna be the TITS.

I have had too many celebrity sightings to even count. I went to the Academy Awards in 2007 as a seat filler and stood in the hallway with, I shit you not, Meryl Streep, Sascha Baron Coen, JODIE FOSTER (i died), and Steve Carrell. By the end of the night I was sitting in the front row, *right* next to Penelope Cruz. I was sitting next to her the moment Ellen did the vacuum bit. I even got on camera! I walked side by side out of the Kodak with Kirsten Dunst and Cam Diaz. I literally brushed shoulders with Speilberg, Lucas, and Scorcese. I saw Leo DiCaprio ask a blushing usher where the bathroom was. And I ran into Kate Winslet in the lobby. (she's my fave) It was a glorious/weird/crazy night.
All the stars of Psych I have met personally. They are all fabulous/nice/non-asshole people.
But ok. My favorite celeb sighting: Robert Downey Jr, and Jon Favreau chatting together on the lot I work on during filming of Iron Man. I have had the HOTS for RDJ for years. Especially his Ally McBeal, Only You days.
2nd fave: Zack Galifinakis valeting his station wagon at UCB. Fucking hilarious.
Ok 3rd fav: Me dressed in a leopard leotard waiting to go onstage at UCB and running into a disturbed Chris Parnell. -
I love my current neighborhood. It's central. I can walk to everything. But if I wasn't there, I would live in Downtown, Venice, or Echo Park. But only if I am close to the metro and/or am able to walk mostly every where. Mike and I are trying our damndest to be a one car household. Or at least a one car + Vespa household.

I was halfway to being fluent in Spanish. I took a shitload of courses in high school and college. I was very good at it. But once you get out of practice, you lose it. So I'd LOVE to have the time to get fluent in Spanish. *LOVE*
