"Mascots" aren't usually just a creator's personal favorite, but something selected for its broader appeal and how well it represents and summarizes a setting. Chainsaw Kid is technically the first monster I came up with, has proven to be the most popular, is easy to recognize and is a very typical Mortasheen creature. A giant mutant flea is a simpler concept that appeals more to just people like myself who obsess over bugs and parasites; it wouldn't really be a good example of Mortasheen as a whole.

I used to have one, but people seldom used it and it was hard to keep up with links becoming broken over time. You can find lots of things I'd have linked to on my tumblr and forums anyhow :)

It's a great monster, best in the 80's movie :)

Maybe that one, the cockroach city, or the cancer that kept producing limbs!

There are several different catfish who can produce enough electricity to stun prey. The electric "eel" is technically in the same group as catfish as well.

It hangs in my closet, accumulating more and more questions with age. I'm 90% sure it was probably from a pet enclosure, a bird probably, but still not sure how that would end up floating in a bay.

They're pretty neat. I never played the games, but I have a Flood Carrier action figure on my shelf. I couldn't NOT own a fungoid tumor with bendy rubber tentacles, and it came with a cute little Flood virus creature thingy.

None really. I had a phobia of ticks, but I think they're cute.

I had ideas for a set of them once, but had a hard time deciding a main "hero" kaiju to be the Godzilla/Gamera equivalent. It couldn't be too similar but couldn't be too weird either, I think I settled on a Crab.

Some of my forumers were complaining that they were making monsters girly, but I think it's more like making girly toys monstrous. Whatever gets them into bats and spiders at a young enough age. The test tube aliens look awesome, but I can't find a lot of clear information on them....

1-2 hot showers a day depending on how hot it is out...I react poorly to sweat.

I've loved "surinam toads" (Pipa pipa) since I saw them on a documentary when I was a tiny little kid.

I've seen both ugly and unremarkable people have equal success in life, sometimes exceeding people of actual talent or intelligence, so I'd just flip a coin I guess.

I think everybody is afraid of both. I don't believe people who claim otherwise...if you really weren't at all afraid you wouldn't bother doing anything ever.

Out of all the popular "eusocial gigeresque aliens" I think I like the Zerg best, and out of the Zerg, I loved the worm-like, immobile brain leaders from the original game. I heard they're no more :(

They're a fun, classic theme in science fiction, though they all tend to follow a very similar style. It would be cool to see such a species as the heroes for a change, which was sort of done in the stage musical "Starship," though they didn't look very scary.

Only a spider? Probably a Portia.

I'm an unpopular, niche internet cartoonist and writer whose works constitute the entirety of bogleech.com. I like insects, monsters and Halloween.
