Hey Kris if I remember correctly, you used to drive a hand-me-down 1989 Toyota Camry. Whatever happened to it?
A corpse in the trunk drove it into a lake

What was life like before the decision to draw comics? I heard you have a CS degree, and you talked (briefly) about your old jobs in IT on the Daily Affirmation. What kind of stuff did you work on?
I was a software developer for a Paris-based CAD/CAM platform company. We didn't work in CAD/CAM to build ships -- we made CAD/CAM software so other companies could use it to build ships.
I worked mostly on a software package that handled structure preliminary layout for the hulls of ships. It had a 3D interface and you could place bulkheads and decks on the ship for planning purposes. Then you could assign areas inside those demarcations compartment names and types.
I also worked on version interoperability and created a conversion tool to migrate parts between versions of the software. I was there for about 4 years. I was a so-so programmer. My job became miserable and despite working 60-80 hours a week, I was accused of not working hard enough and put on probation, so I quit.
After that I took graphic design work where I could find it; web design and so forth. When I moved to Dallas I worked for a temp agency that placed me at Mary Kay for two years. I was generally not very happy and felt very unfulfilled, and I felt like a beaten man. It wasn't necessarily the fault of those jobs, but everything I decided to surround myself by. I think I really felt like I shouldn't have more than that, that I didn't deserve better than that. All the while I worked on my comics on the side until a critical point where I had to leave Dallas, and with that came a big turning point: do this nonsense for the next 40 years, or be a cartoonist and just commit.
I think it was more stupidity than bravery on my part, and I'm very lucky it didn't blow up in my face. I had a lot of support from my family who warmed to the idea that this is what I was good at. I am grateful to think that I am doing what I was meant to do. -
"comedy question"
thank you, but I already get and don't answer a lot of comedy questions

Have you considered making an album of original music, and if so do you need someone to make some crunk beats for your phat rhymes (seriously, loved the rap in the Blam season 1 finale)!
In my store I have four (4) albums of original music, so yes, I have considered it.

Did you know, women comics lack comedy?
Well, I get paid to be funny on radio, TV, and at clubs and colleges in the United States and elsewhere. You sit alone jerking off to Facebook photos of high school classmates who still won't fuck you. I must be running a pretty great con with this whole "pretending to be a lady comic" thing. But don't worry, your time will come. J/K! You'll always be a loser, Luke. xoxo
