Not often. Once at an ice cream stand. That was unexpected.

Some are destructive. Some are boring. Most are boring, in fact. Boring is almost worse, in my eyes. The ones that irritate me most are the mothering characters that would do anything to help others and are so perfect and gentle and kind and ohhh you dear child let me hold you and protect you. Blech.

I'm in the process. I'm trying to liberate all the tent city inhabitants to form an army of unlikely soldiers. In answer to your first question, I hate Arizona except for the nature in the Northern part, and all that that implies. The government has always been soooooooooooo completely idiotic.

Potentially. I've conceded that most people that adamantly decree that they will never have children usually end up having children. So I'm just going to see what happens.

I would neeeeeever espouse bullying, no way. I don't see developing a tough skin as high on the ol' priorities list, I guess, but I definitely think there are other ways to do it. And yes, I've been bullied. I continue to get bullied online through comments and the like, but to be honest it never bothered me/continues not to, because it was always vocal bullying and the kids were never very clever.

Here's the thing about that: being sexy is not bad. No one should be afraid of sex, or sexy women/men. No one should feel ashamed for wanting to be sexy (let's also concede that "sexiness" is incredibly subjective). I would never say that someone shouldn't expose their body because it's wrong or ungodly or whatever other bullshit people might say.
The problem is that popular media is espousing the idea that the conventional notion of "sexy" (ie, be skinny, flaunt your boobs, show lots of skin) is the only thing a woman can or should be. Of all the female actress I like, Amy Poehler is one of the only women that I can google image search and not see any pictures of her in demeaning poses. That's really not awesome. For someone who loves to act, there's an intense pressure to conform to this identity of willing self-objectification. Even if you're not acting, there's still a pressure for women in general to be sexy to excel or be noticed.
If there was an alternative to this structure - if women who weren't interested in framing themselves in this way could get access to the same opportunities as women who do, then I wouldn't give a shit. But that's not the case. Can you imagine how much more popular Hey Ash would be if I put slutty pictures of myself on the internet? Our viewership would increase by at LEAST five people.
I joke, but you see what I'm getting at. It's a shitty social construct that favors a very specific definition of beauty, and those that would flaunt that beauty, rather than celebrating intelligence, creativity, passion, etc. Which isn't to say that "sexy" women can't be those things. But I'm going to go ahead and guess that no one is super stoked about Megan Fox cause she's a realllly good actress. -
Yeah, we did. Now we go back during the winter to film together.

Don't feel like a weirdo, bro. Whatever gets you through gets you through. We just happened to pick video games as our coping mechanism.

Yes. It was beautiful, but much more linear than I anticipated.

Interesting. Sometimes the two will coincide, but I always aim for interesting first. The most interesting flaws are usually when writers take a positive trait of a character and tease it out to its logical conclusion. Ie, Leslie Knope is incredibly giving and wants the best for her friends (good), to the point where she will force them into situations/force them to make decisions because she thinks it will benefit them (bad). The Doctor wants to save as many people as he can at all times (good) but sometimes he doesn't do it for THEIR benefit, and in actuality is trying to validate himself (bad).

Listen. Absorb voices, inflections, dialects. Practice them. I've been told by many other voice actors that imitation is a stepping stone to refining your own voice, and it's true. Mimicry helps you tune your ears. I don't know how helpful this is, but I've also been analyzing and critiquing vocal performance since I was younger. I didn't know I would be interested in voice acting until semi-recently, but inflection and voice were always what I focused the most on in performance. Picking apart what I liked and didn't like about other's acting helped inform my own style. Keep in mind I haven't been doing this for long AT ALL, and I feel pretty out of my jurisdiction giving you this advice, BUT it's the same advice I've been told by actual voice actors, so there you go. Except for the last part. That might be total bullshit.

Well, I just talked about this a little in another question, but I feel uncomfortable/hesitate to say that "women are more likely to do x than men." However, in response to the question that I didn't answer, I would do the following: try to free myself from financial anxieties because it can impede my ability to be as giving to friends and family as I want to be; accept fault or concede that I'm wrong faster and make amends quicker as well if amends are to be mad; be better at forgiving myself

Guuuhhhh liberal arts...education...fighting its way to my fingers...must...resist...babbling about...the destructiveness of reinforcing gender normativity...and risking sounding like...a pompous ass...

Prooooobs...Final Fantasy 9. Still one of my favorite video game worlds, even though Zidane is annoying and the gameplay isn't great.

I feel that sentiment with friends, usually. Which is good. Forces you to examine your beliefs and decide if they really hold up under scrutiny.

O hai, waldfield.

I saw the film, and misinterpreted her character, so I didn't like her. Apparently in the book she's somewhat manipulative and self-serving, which is interesting, but in the film it read (to me, at least) like she was the perfect, sacrificial human, so she bored the shit out of me. THAT SAID. Hunger Games appeals to the same age group that would watch Twilight, and I'd prefer they look up to Hunger Games girl than Bella.
