Congratulations on your acceptance to Babson College! If you recieved merit scholarships (other than the Weissman or Presidential Scholarships) notification of those awards would have been included in the admit packet. Weissman and Presidential interview invitations will be sent out the last week of March. For questions regarding aid or scholarships, please contact student financial services: http://www.babson.edu/undergraduate/tuition-and-financial-aid/Pages/home.aspx

Unfortunately, we cannot forecast exactly how our enrollment will play out. Should we have room to admit students from the waiting list for the Fall semester, we will do so after May 1st, 2013. We aim to resolve the status of all students on our waiting list by July 15th, 2013. You should enrol at one of the colleges or universities to which you have already been admitted and, if you are taken off the waiting list and wish to study at Babson, you can withdraw your enrollment at another college.

The $500 enrollment fee is required to commit to Babson College. The fee is applied to your 1st year's tuition. If you believe the fee will present a large financial burden to you or your family, please contact our office to discuss the matter further.

Congratulations! All Babson students will major in Business Administration. Concentrations are not declared until junior or senior year if the student would like to concentrate. Registration for incoming freshmen courses will begin once the class of 2017 has enrolled in the college. The 1st year curriculum is mostly fixed, and the registration process will begin sometime in late May. Please monitor your myBabson account for updates.

We cannot guarantee admission based on the above credentials. When reviewing applications, we are looking at all aspects of the application. The transcript is the main focus, where we look for a strong A/B average in upper level courses. All students must complete through Pre-Calculus before entering Babson. The middle 50% average SAT combined score of our admitted students was 1830-2120. We do look for rigorous class schedule, however, it is not the only aspect Babson considers when reviewing applications.

When reviewing applications, we are looking at all aspects of the application. The transcript is the main focus for all applicants, where we look for a strong A/B average in upper level courses, specifically in math. All students must complete through Pre-Calculus before entering Babson. We are also looking at recommendation letters, extracurricular activities, essays, and SAT or ACT scores. Last year, the middle 50% average SAT combined score of our admitted students was 1830-2120.

Typically there are a few sections of OEM in Summer 1 session and Summer 2 session. Most students are accomodated, however be sure to talk to your academic dean/academic services and the registrar's office for more details on class availability. OEM classes are approximately 30-40 students.
For more information on summer classes, please visit our website:

It means that all automatic consideration scholarship were already given, however, we also have the Blank, Sorenson, and Weissman scholarships available with the application due February 1st. The Weissman application requires two nominations, an application, and an essay. For more information on Weissman, click the following links.

      Weissman Scholarship:
      http://www.babson.edu/undergraduate/tuition-and-financial-aid/financial-aid/grants-scholarships/weissman-scholars/Pages/home.aspx

The Blank Scholarship is a $7,000 per year award recognizing entrepreneurial potential and the Sorenson Scholarship is a $5,000 per year award recognizing artistic ability. To be considered, applicants must submit a 500 word essay to Undergraduate Admission as well as apply for need-based financial aid (US citizens, Permanent Residents, and Canadian citizens). At Babson, a student may take two courses per session (summer first session/summer second session). Exceptions include:
•A student who is taking OEM or MCE will be enrolled in all three courses. A student may not take any other courses for that session regardless of whether they are enrolled in all three courses in the stream.
•A student in the G.A.P. program will enroll in two courses each summer session in addition to their FME class.

The summer session tuition cost is based on the number of credits of each course. Payment is due to Student Financial Services upon registration. For more information about tuition, financial aid, payment, and payment options, please contact Student Financial Services.

We do have a pub on campus called "Roger's Pub". Roger's Pub holds numerous student organization events, such as Trivia Night. Students caught drinking underage will face consequences.

There are numerous activities to do on campus, such as sports events, musicals, student organization events, etc. In addition, we have shuttle buses that go to Boston on the weekends.

If you would like to have a substance-free atmosphere, we have two dorms with a one strike policy: one for freshman-only and one for upperclassmen (you can apply for these during the housing application).

Living on campus is great! I live in Van Winkle hall, and as a sophomore I have a single with heating an air-conditioning. As for the social life, we have a strict no-hazing policy at Babson that would allow serious consequences for anybody that did bully a student. I was worried when I first came to Babson about making friends, but everyone is so welcoming and nice! We have a such a diverse community of students that everyone is not only excepted but celebrated for their differences. In addition, our freshman orientation and 100+ student organizations make it easy to find people to connect with. I started the Babson Players my first week at Babson, and I have found wonderful, friendly people I hope to be friends with the rest of my life. I'm sure at Babson you will make tons of friends!

      Hello,

There is no set grade that would automatically cause your admission to be rescinded. We expect admitted students' final grades to be consistent with those we saw when we offered admission. All final transcripts are evaluated by the admission staff and any decisions on rescinding admission would be made at that time. To speak about your situation specifically, please contact the admission office directly at 781-239-5522.

Babson is need-blind in our admission process, and therefore applying for scholarships will not affect your admission decision.

Thanks for the shoutout, we'll pass it along to James!
