The Blackhawks! I love the largely forgotten heroes. Call me a nostalgist, but I think expanding on largely underused characters is a lot of fun, and gives you more freedom to move. Any of 'em.

Good question! Sam Rockwell and Phillip Seymour Hoffman in a period noir. Rockwell as a hard-boiled gangster and Hoffman as the everyman caught in his web. Give me...Dustin Hoffman (in a triumphant return to critical acclaim) as an aging cop trying to catch Rockwell.
