No matter what the hobby, job or group you are involved with in life there were will be drama. Mostly because people get bored or are insecure in some aspect or another.
I try to avoid it. I'd rather enjoy what I'm doing and let everyone around me enjoy it as well. But to think its not going to happen is naive. I try to -sometimes with little success- to filter out what is good critizm and what is people just being rude for the sake of being rude when it happens to just me. When it happens to friends, I try to support them in what I think is a mature and friendly way.
I personally hold no grudges against other people. However, I do try to keep myself out of the company of people who do hold grudges. And in the end, I think I come out of everything still enjoying my favorite hobby. -
Baths. I have bubblebath, bath crystals and bath milk. I'll sit in the bathtub with soft music on, candles and a glass of wine. When I'm really stressed out I'll drop what I am doing and go take a bath.

Hahaha, old question I'm just getting to. I'm gonna spend the weekend with my boyfriend. Right now the plan is to hang out with my roommates for the first half of the weekend and then head back to the town I went to school in to hang out with my old roommates for the 2nd half of my weekend.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Know that you are all loved :) -
Communication. Although, sometimes, getting the balls or having the knowledge as to how to communicate in the right way can be hard.

I'm guessing by the "scene" you mean Cosplay?
I don't think it really matters in or out as long as the person is understanding, down to earth and not to egotistical.
However right now, I've got a wonderful boyfriend who is outside the scene. But he is loving getting acquainted with the scene... so he may become a part of the scene... so then I will be dating in the scene right? -
What hasn't made me happy lately. I have a wonderfully loving boyfriend who supports me in all my crazy dreams, a wonderful job with some of my closest friends, a healthy family and a great outlook on the rest of my life.

Smile at it. If it doesn't offend anyone, touch it.

I am guessing we are talking Eva right?
You know, I'm still waiting for the experience of watching this anime. I've been holding off for so long hoping someone with a large screen TV that I know will offer to show it to me in all its glory. You know cause I've heard its so wonderful.
If this happens. I will maybe be your Rei clone. She's adorable.. but I think I probably would look better with red hair. -
I think I would have a lot of fun competing to go. I've never really been a competitive person in the past. I used to run in high school and that is really as competitive as I got. But even then, running is more about what you do for yourself then what you do against another runner.
Since I enjoy cosplaying and costuming so much, I think it would be fun to really compete. I've only competed in a handful of Hallway and Masquerade competitions. Mostly because I feel like I have to really put something special together to compete.
Thus I feel like WCS would be a fun adventure. I could put a lot of time and energy into one of my many Dream Costumes, and if I won I would get to go to Japan and meet costumers from all around the world. Wow, that would be so fun.
I know its got its drama, and it puts you in a spotlight that can be kinda harsh, but to say I won such an award and got to travel halfway across the world because of my favorite hobby. Wow. That's enough for me to ignore all the crap that goes with it on the side. -
I started going to Cons because I wanted to really get involved in the cosplay community. Over time I met some wonderful people who are my best friends in life. I started going to cons to really hang out with and costume with them. Overall, it is to hang out and be with them.
However, I'm also extremely in love with costuming. I love to go to dress up, to see other costumes, to discuss costuming (everything from fabric choice, to dream costumes, to how to construct a mask, to how to properly make a wig ponytail). I'm just really in love with the hobby and with creating and listening to other people talk about creating. My favorite parts of cons is seeing people in costume and asking them how they made it or explaining to someone else how I made my own costume.
Nothing makes me happier then when a friend is excited that I made a costume to be in a group with them or when someone says they love my costume. -

Its really hard for me to be more then acquaintances with people who have abrasive personalities. I like to think of myself as a positive, happy-go-lucky person. And people with that sort of personality really kinda mess up my vibe.
However, I do have some friends who people could consider that have abrasive personalities. Normally with people like this, I've learned what makes them that way and I just ignore the abrasive side to there personality. -
I know everyone has the tendency to do something mean every once in a while or allow others to walk all over them. Normally when I see behavior like this I will try to bring it up with a friend softly, you know one of those "Yeah, you know I hate it when... blah, blah, blah." I try to see if they get why I am bringing such a topic up. If they get it, normally I can get them to talk about it, because they realize what I am trying to say.
If they don't, its harder. However, alot of my friends are really strong willed people, so I haven't really had to deal with it. Sometimes, its hard for me to notice if someone is being treated that way because I can be to nice and let others kinda walk all over me. I normally choose not to fight, which is silly and stupid, but I hate fighting so much. If I realize someone is starting to act that way towards me, I normally avoid them until I don't have to deal with them anymore.
That's definitely a personal flaw I need to work on. -
