You can't just stop a face like this, I'm afraid.
-
What do you suppose...?
I work hard, you know. I'm the breadwinner. -
The city, of course. The country has its charm, but mostly bitter memories of fruitless toil.
-
Everything from the state of this awkward political peace time to the state of my house.
-
It used to be picking stones out of the field, but I have slaves to do that now.
-
The acropolis early in the morning- Eos' rosy fingers lightly touching the bronze statue of Athena at the gates and highlighting the pediments of the Parthenon...

Have her and the slaves cook me a fine meal, drink a little, and finally [THE CHRISTIAN FASHION POLICE ACTUALLY DON'T CONDEMN THIS MARRIAGE DESPITE THEIR PAGAN WAYS BUT STILL FEEL OBLIGATED TO CENSOR THINGS THAT ARE UNSAVOURY.]

Anything worth teaching. I have memorized Homer and Hesiod backwards and forwards, I play instruments with skill and grace, and mathematics are a breeze.
-
Both. Discuss a good piece of literature at a party, of course!

Would you care to define chemistry for me? Are we speaking of physical attraction? That would probably matter more. Or the wealth of the bride's father.

Morning! Lots to do, only so much daylight!
-
It takes a great deal of persuasion for me to take a risk... or a few clever lies.
-
Early to bed, early to rise. I sleep more or less just after the sun goes down. No point in straining the eyes over candles.

I suppose the closest thing I have to parents are Athena and Erechtheus. I would assume I get along with them, considering I have dedicated temples to each of them. Athena of course has protected me very well over the centuries.
-
Why would I? I'm not touching laundry until it is ready to wear!
-
*yawn* What for? That's kind of overkill. It's not like women are affected by politics unless I dunno our walls are broken and the women are taken as slaves but come on.
-
Why not just have all the people in charge of themselves?
-
Of course! I can't stand it when rich minorities have so much power. It got to the point where I nearly had to sell myself into slavery to buy grain to grow!
-
I had to painstakingly work the land for a rich minority for centuries! It's a tough life. Especially when you don't get any of the fruits of your labour, literally.

I'm pretty amazing. If you'd like my protection, please send all of your generous donations to my- er, the League's treasury at its new location in Athens, not our old HQ at Delos. :) We are no longer accepting ships, men, or weapons, just your money.
