Just to make sure I understand you: you're asking if you eat a large meal at night should you still eat breakfast the next day. Is that right?

I'm not an expert, but I would recommend listening to your body and seeing how you feel. For example, if you eat late at night (even though it's not bingeing) does it leave you feeling too full to fall asleep? Do you feel rested when you wake up? Does food late in the day make you feel bloated? Or do you feel fine? We all have different schedules and things to work around, so if you don't have much of a chance to eat during the day I don't see a problem with eating at night. Speaking from personal experience, I sometimes find it easier to indulge in mindless eating at night, but that's just me. You could be totally different. In summary, though, I would advise you to listen to your body.

An exception to this would be If you find that you are having trouble getting enough calories and nutrients in, or if you notice any other unusual symptoms. In this case I would recommend seeing a health care professional or a trusted dietitian to help you sort things out.

As far as eating breakfast in the morning, again, see how you feel. Do you operate better with something in your stomach in the morning? Are you not even hungry for breakfast? Does skipping a meal leave you feeling sluggish or do you find yourself compensating by overeating later in the day? These are all things to consider. If you find that you aren't hungry in the morning, you can always just grab something small--like a piece of fruit or a handful of nuts--just to avoid 'running on empty'. I've heard varying opinions on whether breakfast really is essential (we know it is important for kids and teens, but from what I've heard, it varies from adult to adult). But speaking from my limited knowledge, I don't see a problem with skipping breakfast if it doesn't appeal to you, and maybe just eating an early lunch. Just be sure that you are getting enough calories and energy. Everyone of us is different (and I'm not an expert) but that's what I would say without knowing more of the specifics.

I hope that makes sense. I apologize for the long and rambling answer. Feel free to leave another question if I didn't address this one right.

    Best wishes and God Bless!
