You could probably do this with custom CSS. Google "CSS background image" and I'm sure you'll find something that'll help you.

Number of posts per page is a Tumblr-setting and not a theme-setting.

Strict isn't updated to work with some of the new Tumblr-features. I'll update it soonish.

I'm missing a way to edit questions I've recieved. I have to skip some questions because they contain personal information that I don't want to share on my blog.

None, formspring-posts disguise themselves as text-posts.

None, you have to edit some CSS though. Search for "overflow: hidden" in the source and remove it, that should do it.
The clipping will be added as an option later. -
They will appear in your dashboard, and when you answer a question it will be posted as quote (if I remember correctly).

As I said earlier, I'll probably add a checkbox for it in a future update. However, it's already now possible to change the theme however you want, all you need is some basic HTML knowledge. You'll find the source code by pressing "Use custom HTML" under the "Theme" menu.

I don't know actually. Sometimes I get inspired by stuff that shows up around me (nature, stuff I find in a store, things on TV etc) and sometimes I get inspired by cool stuff people made on the Internet. In other words, more or less everything.
